Van Wyck-Smart edges competition to earn her second medal at the World Championships

LONDON — Aly van Wyck-Smart earned Canada’s 10th medal, a bronze, in the women’s S2 50-metre backstroke on Day Five of the London 2019 World Para Swimming Championships.

It is the 16-year-old’s second medal of the meet in as many events. She will have an opportunity to advance to her third final in the women’s S3 100-metre freestyle event on Sunday.
