LONDON – Canada ended the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships with a bang on Sunday night, claiming a bronze medal in the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay in the final event of the meet, Canada’s 14th medal of the games.
Abi Tripp, Katarina Roxon, Tess Routliffe, and Aurélie Rivard combined for a time of 4:30.09, good enough for third place, 6.19 seconds behind second place USA.
The bronze is Rivard’s fifth medal of the meet, Routliffe’s third and Roxon’s second. Roxon won a silver medal earlier in the night. It was the first-ever world championship medal for Tripp
