The holiday season is known for its bargains and the Toronto Public Library is part of the action with its own Christmas book sale .
Toronto Reference Library is holding the Christmas book sale between Nov. 21 to Nov. 23. The book sale is in the Beeton Auditorium of the library.
There are a variety of books for sale such as fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, cooking books and so on. The sale includes not just books, but magazines, CDs, DVDs, bibles and some miscellaneous items as well.
In total, there are over 15,000 items.
All of the items in the sale are of good condition, but used. They are all donated items.
The prices, however, are what make this book sale special.
Non-feature DVDs are $2, with feature DVDs going for the same prices depending on the DVD itself. For example, the DVD sets of TV shows like Matt Groening’s Futurama are $4 each.

Magazines on the other hand are 50 cents each. Books, depending on the type, are $1 CDN each.
Children’s books are selling for as little as 50 cents each.
All of the funds made from the book sale will go towards funding Toronto Public Reference Library programs and services. Some of these services and programs include the ‘You, Me, Us: Outstanding Books For and About Young People with Disabilities‘ service and the ‘Introduction to 3D Printing‘ class.
If you can’t come to the Christmas book sale, you can always go to the annual Toronto Reference Library clearance book sale in 2020. Knowing about the prices of the items in the Christmas book sale, will you be going to the clearance sale in 2020?
