Identity sought of woman found dead in east end

Artist's rendering of a woman found dead July 23 has been released by police. 

Police reported Sept. 7 they are still trying to identify a woman found dead July 23 in the Lakeshore Boulevard East and Cherry Street area. The deceased is described as having a light complexion, thin build, short brown hair, and light coloured eyes. She has no tattoos or notable scars, police said.

Toronto Police are looking for a 23-year-old man after an alleged assault in an apartment building near Pape and Cosburn avenues on Aug. 25. Hamzah Jogiyat is described as 5-foot-8, 130 pounds, and having a thin build, curly black hair, a short black beard, and brown eyes.

A 26-year-old man is wanted on charges of assault and assault with a weapon. Dillan Humphrey was last seen on Sept. 7, police say. He is described as 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, with a medium build, black hair and scruffy facial hair.

If located, he should not be approached, police say. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 416-808-5500.
