Bendale Business and Technical Institute and David & Mary Thomson Collegiate will continue to wait before any progress is made toward the amalgamation of both schools. In a previous issue of the Observer, it was reported that the Accommodation Review Committee (ARC) recommended the consolidation of Bendale BTI and Thomson CI. It was reported that funding issues were stopping the project from moving forward.

The market garden, on the front lawn of Bendale Business and Technical Institute near Midland and Lawrence Avenues, gives students the opportunity to try their hand at urban agriculture.
