The Nazem Kadri decision has been made. Toronto officially sent the 19-year-old down to the AHL’s Marlies on Monday, as the team trimmed its roster in advance of Thursday’s season opener against the Montreal Canadiens.

While their parent teams battled Thursday, the Toronto Marlies and Hamilton Bulldogs open their respective AHL seasons Sunday afternoon (4 p.m. ET) at Ricoh Coliseum. Both teams will look to improve on last year’s earlier post-season exits.
Nazem Kadri knows his chances of making this year’s edition of the Toronto Maple Leafs are slim. He has certainly not made the decision-making process easy for team brass, however.
