Michael Gallagher may be small, at least for a quarterback. But whatever he lacks in size, he makes up for with his athleticism and determination. The Grade 12 student has been a big reason why the Leaside Lancers are enjoying an unlikely, but still undefeated season, their best in more than a decade.

Leaside quarterback Michael Gallagher threw two touchdowns and ran for another as the Lancers cruised to a 43-7 victory over the Lawrence Park Panthers in the Tier I South Region semi-final on Friday. Receivers Abhina Archarya and Robert Miles each had touchdown receptions and running back Michael Williams added two rushing majors, capitalizing on a balanced offence.
