Riders demand money for transit on FundTheTTC day

Fed up with the TTC? Issues facing commuters on a daily basis were the subject of an event called “FundTheTTC Day of Action.”

Feeling like sardines on a bus or train? Frustrated because of signal problems during rush hour? Not feeling safe on transit? A protest by TTCRiders held February 6, 2020 called on commuters to demand more funding from their local city councillors for the TTC in the 2020 city budget. It took place in five subway stations: Dufferin, Kennedy, Lawrence West, St. George and Coxwell, between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., except at St. George, where it took place in the morning between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Service suspended on RT line during morning rush

Signal problems on the Scarborough RT line suspended service during the morning's rush hour on Sept. 26. There was no service on the Scarborough RT line from Kennedy to McCowan due to signal problems at Lawrence East, according to the TTC.
