Christian Walker looking for permanent major league stay

SARASOTA, Fla. – For Christian Walker, a regular spot in the major leagues is only a few steps away.

The 23-year-old first baseman already had a six-game stint with the Baltimore Orioles last season.

“It was amazing. It was awesome. It’s a dream come true,” Walker said. “I played my whole life and I worked out my whole life to accomplish that goal. I did and it’s been great, but I’m not finished yet.”

The submarine delivery that O’Day has employed since his days at the University of Florida has served him well in his first two years in Baltimore, compiling a 5-3 record with a 2.18 ERA last season. But there is always room for improvement.
