Arrest made in drug lab investigation

Police have made an arrest made in connection with a year-long clandestine drug lab investigation. On Oct. 27, 2012, emergency services personnel responded to a water leak with a strong chemical odour, which led to the discovery of the alleged drug lab in an apartment at 4091 Sheppard Ave. E.

Living on the edge

Gary Crawford grew up in the Scarborough area and is now the city councillor for Ward 36, which covers Bluffer’s Park. Ever since he was a teenager, he remembers stories of people scaling the sides of the Scarborough Bluffs or venturing close to the edge to experience the majestic views. “This is something that has been going on for generations,” Crawford says.

Fire marshal investigates blaze
