A 61-year-old woman was struck dead by a tractor trailer that was driven by a 38-year-old man attempting to make a right turn onto Markham Road from Finch Avenue East on March 4, police say.
Police responded to the personal injury collision call at 4:39 p.m.
The woman was rushed to hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police ask that pedestrians and drivers take extra precaution at intersections especially during the winter weather season.
Police are investigating the incident.
