Police investigating after woman sexually assaulted on TTC bus

Police are asking the public for information after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a TTC bus.

Lawrence Avenue East and McCowan Road, where police say a woman was sexually assaulted on a TTC bus in the early hours of Oct. 3.

At about 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 3, a man sat beside the woman on a bus travelling along Lawrence Avenue East and allegedly assaulted her, police say. She alerted the bus driver, but the man fled.

The man is described by police as about 50 years old, 5-foot-8, brown-skinned, with short grey-and-black hair, and a moustache.

He was wearing dark-coloured pants, a collared dress shirt, a beige pullover and dark shoes, police say.

Investigators have released a photo of the man caught on a TTC security camera.
