Toronto Observer reporter Ahmed Dirie covered the Family Day snowstorm. On February 15, 2021, 10 – 20 cm of snow blanketed the city of Toronto, impacting driving conditions and bus routes. It forced the closure of some schools in the GTA on what would have been the students’ first day back in school since the COVID-19 lockdown in December 2020.
