Local neighbourhood centre sharing Christmas to those in need

Currently in its 20th year, the Share Christmas program at the Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre offers food, clothing and other basic necessities to families living at or below the poverty line to help them through the winter months.

Volunteering for a worthwhile cause

It began with a simple offering of a few homemade quilts and before she knew it, Jane Barbeau was a board member, selling gift baskets, helping with the Share Christmas program and leading the Fundraising Committee at the Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre. That was only a year and half ago.
