Movers defrauded

Police from 43 Division are warning the public of some fraudulent moving companies.

They report the companies have been targeting the South Asian community through advertisements online and in free newspapers. They quote a very low cost and get clients to sign a contract.

It is alleged they raise their price halfway through the move and threaten to hold the client’s property.

Police are urging residents to contact the Better Business Bureau before they contract moving services.
