Centre Jonas Valanciunas scores 26 points days after being charged with drunk driving

The Raptors beat the Philadelphia 76ers 125-114 on Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre.

In his first game back after three games out due to a bruised knee, Kyle Lowry took home the biggest score with 29 points. Demar Deroza scored 17 points before leaving the game with a cut over his left eye.

Surprisingly centre Jonas Valanciunas scored 26 points alongside 12 rebounds, just three days after being charged with drunk driving. There had been speculation that Valanciunas wouldn’t be playing after his arrest. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 22, and could result in suspension from the NBA.

The Raptor’s win leaves them one away from becoming Atlantic champions and topping their franchise record of 47 wins.
