Man accused of human trafficking

A man is facing 10 charges including human trafficking, Toronto police say.

The man allegedly held a 26-year-old woman in several hotel rooms and used her in the sex trade.

According to police, the man wouldn’t let her go home to her family when she asked. She made her escape on Feb. 29, finding uniformed officers and reporting the abuse to them.

Damion Sinclair, 31, appeared in Old City Hall court on March 1.

Police say they suspect there may be other victims. Anyone with information is asked to report it to the Toronto Police or Crime Stoppers.
