Three arrested in marijuana dispensary busts

A Toronto woman is facing drug related charges after police raided a marijuana dispensary.

Police executed a search warrant at Green Buddha Medicinals on College Street, one block east of Ossington Avenue, on Monday evening.

This comes four days after a similar raid on Dundas Street West.

Two men were  charged on Thursday after officers from the 11 Division Major Crime Unit executed a search warrant at THC 416 on Dundas near Dufferin Street.

Sara Cummins, 28, of Toronto, is charged with trafficking a Schedule II substance, four counts of possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a proceeds of crime. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 24.

Toronto men Daniel DeBeer, 26, and Tom Van Nguyen, 31, are charged with possession of a Schedule II substance, possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime. Both men appeared in court last Friday.

These most recent raids are part of an ongoing effort by Toronto Police to crack down on marijuana dispensaries.

In May alone, police raided 43 dispensaries and arrested 90 people with drug related charges.
