Women take self-defence courses in Toronto despite #MeToo’s impact on consent

In the era of the #MeToo movement it seems outdated to ask women to defend themselves against sexual assault or violence.

It is, after all, not their fault.

Unfortunately, experts in Toronto say that even with increased sensitivity to women, and consent,  in the end, the onus is on a woman to take care of herself.

Now as Observer Radio News’ Zeenya Shah reports, some Martial Arts dojos in Toronto are trying to accomplish just that. Listen to her documentary here:
