After a series sweep of the bottom-feeder Kansas City Royals, the Toronto Blue Jays finally find themselves in an AL wild card position.

The three-game sweep helped the Jays to an 8-2 record in their last ten games, taking two of three against the struggling Oakland Athletics and Colorado Rockies respectively.

A stretch of expected victories, Toronto’s schedule only picks up from here.

A four-game home-stand against fellow playoff hopefuls, the Texas Rangers, is next on their road to October baseball.

Toronto sits one game up on the Rangers in the wild card picture, but one game down in their season series.

After falling to the Rangers in a mid-June three-game series in Texas, the Blue birds look to strengthen their wild card hold.

But, how confident do the Blue Jays faithful feel heading into what feels like the playoffs come early?

“(Batting) is a big worry for me,” one fan says. “The last ten games it’s been iffy.”

Another fan had a more positive outlook.

“I think this four-game series with the Texas Rangers is critical, but I think the Blue Jays are gonna pull it through and make it.”

With some fans high in their hopes, and some on the lower end, the Toronto Observer’s Michael Jose Collins and Ryan Galati took to Blue Jays Way to get more answers.
