The Pittsburgh Steelers opened their 2023 NFL season with a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

At home the Black and Gold lost 30-7 as second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for one touchdown and two interceptions.

He’ll look to bounce back in week two against an interdivisional rival in the Cleveland Browns.

The Dawg Pound won their opening fixture against AFC North favourites the Cincinnati Bengals in blowout fashion 24-3.

Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow who signed a five year $275-million (US) contract on Sept. 9 threw for 82 yards only completing 14 of 31 passing attempts.

Will Kenny Pickett lead his team to a victory over a defence that stopped Burrow’s Bengals?

The Toronto Observer’s Michael Jose Collins and Carter Smith sat down with steelernation.com contributor Stuart Miller-Davis to talk about the week one loss, what to expect for week two, the rest of the season, and Stuart’s beginnings as a Steelers fan.
