A day in the life of James Thompson, the owner and barista of Oliver Coffee Bar, is filled with conversations with the locals. This east-end cafe is known for its warm and welcoming ambiance, a local customer said. Thompson also enjoys regular visits from the neighbourhood dogs throughout his day.

The cafe is nestled on Fulton and Mortimer Avenue, just a five-minute walk from Centennial College’s Story Arts Centre.
