The UFC world publicity tour made a pit stop at Toronto’s Eaton Centre on Friday afternoon. The world tour, which includes seven cities, promotes the featherweight championship showdown between the current champion from Brazil, Jose Aldo, and Irish contender Connor McGregor.
A man has been missing since he wandered out of the North York General Hospital on Wednesday evening, police say.
Police are looking for Darrin Wickens, 29, and Taso Antipas, 45, both residents of Toronto. Wickens is described as being 6’, 170 lbs., with brown eyes and brown hair. Antipas is described as being 5’9”, 180 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair.
According to Det. Jeremy Gray, the victim fled to a nearby Popeye’s chicken restaurant, in the Thorncliffe Park Plaza. He was taken to hospital where he was reported as conscious, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Toronto Police have arrested a 43-year-old man, based on allegations of child exploitation.
