In the race for TCDSB Ward 11, Kennedy took 5,904 votes or 47 per cent of the total ballots. Her closest rival, Kevin Morrison, walked away with 33 per cent.
The Ward 26/Don Valley West race was identified weeks ago as one to watch closely, with former police officer Burnside and Yale graduate Mohamed Dhanani acting as strong challengers to Parker.

A judge removed Kennedy from office this summer after finding that she was in conflict of interest when she voted on budget matters that could affect her children — employees of the board.
