Glenn Howard tweets a “GoCanadaGo” to Canada’s Olympic curling teams. His hope came true for a win by the Canadians on the ice at the Sochi Olympics.
Howard’s career as a Canadian curler has been successful. He won four Briers and four world championships, but didn’t make the 2014 Olympic cut.
Howard is watching all the Olympic action from his hometown in Tiny Township, Ontario where he trains at his local arena in Penetanguishene.
Toronto Observer reporter Jenna Reid spoke with Howard about Russia’s controversial policy toward gay rights, as well as on how Canadian athletes should maintain their focus amidst media and political pressures.
