4th annual Bridging Festival returns to Scarborough

Scarborough residents will get to enjoy four days of culture and cuisine.

The Bridging Festival, which started in 2010, aims to bring the community together through art and culture. It is set to take place in the Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park neighbourhood, celebrating art and community.

It runs from Aug. 15 to 24. Activities on the first three days take place near the East Scarborough Storefront on Lawrence Ave. east of Galloway Road. On the final day, the festivities move below the Lawrence Avenue East bridge.

Free food, performances, music and poetry are planne.

The festival is looking to recruit community advisors and artists willing to participate.
