Furnal Equinox is the biggest furry convention in Canada, with more than 3,000 attendees this year. The annual gathering occurred March 15 – 17 at the Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto.

A furry is someone interested in anthropomorphic animal characters, which are animal characters with human characteristics. Proto the protogen, a popular figure in the furry community, let the Toronto Observer follow along for a day in the life of an East-York based furry getting ready for a big weekend out.
